Spring 2011 brought new, experienced owners to Fern Valley Inn. Once among the top-ranked lodging establishments in Idyllwild, Fern Valley Inn had been closed for a number of years. Now it is in the capable hands of veteran innkeepers Gary Taylor and Perry Emery who are determined to return it to its former glory.
It’s not wishful thinking with the Taylor-Emery team. Eleven years ago they resurrected an older motel in Klamath, California. Now called the Ravenwood Motel, it is, according to Trip Advisor reports, one of the best little motels on the California coast north of San Francisco. They redecorated every room, bought quality linens, added glorious gardens and gazebos, and included a complimentary breakfast that would rival many B&B offerings.
Expect the same results at Fern Valley Inn. Gary and Perry first saw the property in 2009, fell in love with it and the village of Idyllwild, and want to spend the rest of their days in this mountain paradise.
